South Australian Government Salary Sacrifice Arrangement
Under the South Australian Government Salary Sacrifice Arrangement (SAGSSA), before you can commence salary packaging you are required to enter into a Salary Sacrifice Agreement with your employer and a Salary Sacrifice Service Agreement with Maxxia – the SA Government’s sole provider of employee benefits.
Key Elements of the Salary Sacrifice Agreement (SSA) and the Salary Sacrifice Service Agreement (SSSA)
The Salary Sacrifice Agreement is between you, the Employee, and your Employer.
You acknowledge and agree:
to an Employer charge of $40 plus GST ($44) being deducted from your salary post tax on commencement of any new salary packaging agreement; and
you must pay any cost arising from salary packaging including any FBT liability and indemnify your employer against this liability; and
Maxxia is responsible for the administration of your salary packaging arrangements and any disputes or complaints should be resolved directly with Maxxia
You consent to the employer disclosing records or personal information to Maxxia and to Commonwealth and State authorities for the purpose of this Salary Sacrifice Agreement
The Salary Sacrifice Service Agreement is between you, the Employee, and Maxxia, your service provider.
You acknowledge and agree:
Maxxia is appointed as your service provider to administer your salary sacrifice arrangements within the requirements of this Salary Sacrifice Service Agreement and all correspondence relating to these arrangements is to be directed to Maxxia;
you are required to pay Maxxia an administration fee depending on the benefits selected from the approved SAGSSA Items referred to in the attachment. This will be shown on your Benefits Confirmation Schedule sent to you before deductions commence
you will not salary sacrifice mortgage payments into an interest offset facility, and you hold documentation regarding the existence of the mortgage account, and you will notify Maxxia of any changes to the status of your mortgage account;
where you request payment into a nominated account to pay for a benefit, you have direct debits in place from that nominated account for amounts equal to or higher than the benefit budget amount; and
all expenses paid using a Maxxia Salary Packaging Payment Card cannot be recovered via a reimbursement/receipt process.

any financial advice required to inform or support your decision to salary package is your sole responsibility and must be obtained by you independently from your employer or Maxxia;
The commencement date of your Salary Sacrifice Agreement and your Salary Sacrifice Service Agreement will be the date your arrangements are established, subject to approval by your employer’s delegate, and the expiry date will be the termination of this agreement or the date your employment with your employer ends.
